So I went to the ladder that led down to the faithful covenant spot and jumped from the top. I died. So yeah apparently it doesn't save you from lethal falls. 0 15 Comments

you can get it at any point in the game, as long as you dont kill Sirris. Ive gotten it well past Irithyll. Just make sure you talk to Sirris after handing the handmaiden the Dreamchaser's Ashes. Warp and make sure shes no longer in firelink, and after you have killed the Sulyvahn Beast on the bridge to Irithyll, her sign shoudl be there.

It works, only that it requires you to make a fall which you will survive even with 1 HP remaining from your current HP (when without the ring). So if you make a fall which does 500 damage (and you have 501 HP), wearing the ring and making the same fall won't damage you for 500 damage.
